InDefero Hosting Uptime Report for September: 99.97% uptime

Because hosting your code with a service like InDefero is losing a bit of control about how the code is hosted, it is always interesting to get some statistics about the hosting quality. So here is the uptime report for September 2009:

• Uptime: 99.97%.
• Total downtime: 0h 14m 57s in 2 outages.
• Planned outage: 0h 9m 57s
• Partial outage: 0h 05m 00s

The partial outage was due to a transatlantic connection problem for the customers accessing InDefero through the AboveNet network. So it affected a really small part of the users.

The planned outage was planned as some check disk and kernel upgrade on the main server had to be performed.

From January to August the uptime was basically 100%.
