InDefero storage use, the logarithm is the law

You read everywhere that nature is following some kind of statistical laws for the distribution or size of objects. These laws are empirical but also very practical to predict the usage patterns of your systems. Today I decided to see if the storage usage of InDefero was following the traditional logarithmic law, see by yourself, it is impressive:

  • 64% of the forges are using 10% of the total storage;
  • 92% of the forges are using 20% of the total storage (or reverted 8% are using 80%).

I can remember a song from the French Jean-Jacques Goldman singer:

On échappe à la police mais pas au statistiques. You can escape the police but not the statistics.

I will keep posting interesting data like that in the future.
